The Quiet Power of Gratitude
An invitation to notice, to soften, to receive joy in the now
“It is not joy that makes us grateful; it is gratitude that makes us joyful.”
— David Steindl-Rast
What if gratitude wasn’t something we waited to feel after everything fell into place—
but something we practiced first, softly, daily, on purpose?
We often think of gratitude as a response to joy. But what if it’s the beginning of it? Noticing something good, however small, is like planting light in the cracks of a busy life.
- A warm cup in your hands.
- A smile you didn’t expect.
- A quiet breath between tasks.
Moments that don’t ask to be earned—only received.
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on the kind of time that heals. Not the time we chase or schedule, but the kind we feel. The time that comes when we choose to pause, to breathe, to be truly present with those we love—and with ourselves.
Gratitude doesn’t always come in grand gestures. It lives in presence. In noticing how we show up. In the words we choose. In the energy we offer to the people who matter most.
This Thanksgiving, I’m reminding myself:
Your presence is a gift… And you deserve to receive it too.
3 Benefits of living in Gratitude
- It brings you back to NOW – Gratitude shifts your focus from what’s missing to what’s here. Right here. It softens anxiety and invites presence.
- It opens your Heart – When you pause to feel thankful—even for something small—you naturally connect more deeply with the world around you.
- It creates inner Joy – Gratitude reminds you that joy isn’t always something to chase—it’s something you can choose, one moment at a time.
A gentle invitation for you
To support your own practice of mindful gratitude, I’ve created journals and coloring pages that encourage you to pause, reflect, and reconnect—with your breath, your thoughts, your dreams.
And this week, as a small thank-you for being part of this community:
Buy any journal and receive a free coloring book to gift
